This page contains information that might be useful when you’re trying to detect why a job submission does not work.

Invalid value for option

The plugins-submission-job ends with a message saying:

Failed to manage the requested action. Invalid value for option XXX: Must not be undefined.

Suggested solution:
You missed to specify a value for a mandatory or boolean option and such option does not have a default value indicated in the plugin configuration (config.xml). Execute the same command with the option –help to find out expected values for the option and then re-run the command adding the missed option.

Unknown flag

The plugins-submission-job ends with a message saying:

Error: Unknown flag 'XXX'.

but XXX is listed among the accepted options.
Suggested solution:
This error likely occurs because you failed to specify a proper value for other options and the semantic of the command is mis-interpreted by the SDK. Double check that all the options have been written correctly (e.g. they are prefixed with a dash or double dash if you use the long for of the flag) and that they are all followed by a value.

Plugin currently disabled

The plugins-submission-job ends with a message saying:

Failed to manage the requested action. Plugin XXX is currently disabled

Suggested solution:
You cannot currently submit a job based on this plugin because it has been disabled. Plugins are enabled/disabled with a flag in their configuration file. If you want to re-enable the plugin, go in the config.xml and change:

<disabled>true</disabled>

to

<disabled>false</disabled>
