To upgrade MetaR to the latest version from any previous release:

  1. Make sure you have a backup of your project directories
  2. Install the new version of the MetaR plugin. You will be notified when a new version of a plugin you are using is available. Follow the steps in the notification to upgrade the MetaR plugin. You can start the upgrade manually by opening Preferences/Settings > Plugins.
  3. The Migration Assistant will detect older versions of the language used in nodes of your model. Start the assistant if needed (it may start automatically) and follow the steps until it successfully completes. If the assistant finishes with an error (this should not happen, but when it does it is important to have a backup, see step 1), contact us about the problem on the MetaR user forum.

From 1.3.0+ to 1.3.2

  1. New output folder: all the files produced by an Analysis script are now placed into the org.campagnelab.metaR.results_dir/model_name/ folder, where model_name is replaced with the name of the model that includes the analysis. If after the upgrade, you don’t see the preview of the plots or you can’t open the Table Viewer Tool on a table, just re-run the script. All the output files will be recreated in the proper location.
